Up Up & Away with Bo Bunny

I have this project up on the Bo Bunny Blog today
Up Up & Away by Tracee Provis

With this great inspiration board to use for this project I was inspired by the soft pastel colours and the dreamy feel of the mood board, which lead me to creating this papermache Hot Air balloon that is a gift for my Granddaughter's 10th birthday and includes a secret photo pull out and surprises in the drawers.

A few close ups

The Primrose collection has some awesome embellishments and I pulled out a few from the Noteworthy pack to make a layered centre for the body of the balloon.

The Kraft Wood Shapes Elegant make a beautiful contrast to the pinks and browns of the Primrose Collection.

Fussy cutting is such fun and Bo Bunny always have lots of elements to enable this, here I cut lots of the butterflies from various papers in the collection and added them to the pole that holds the balloon stable. For a little added interest I attached some to wires so that they can float as if suspended.
The drawers old a birthday card and a Butterfly necklace gift, for the birthday girl.

Inside the crown there is an accordion album that pulls out to reveal the numbers 1 - 10 on the front and a picture of her in the corresponding age so she can see how she has grown.
I carefully cut the outer ring from one of the crocheted flowers to add some texture to both the top and bottom part of the Hot Air Balloon. I hot glued the star to a wooden button to make the pull handle for the mini album.

Papermaze & Page Drafts

This is my post up over at the Papermaze Blog today.
Hi Tracee with you this morning, I have a layout to share in a slightly different style for me. Usually I use 1 maybe 2 photos per layout, but I found a great sketch at Page Drafts that challenged me to use a whole bunch of pics.

This was the sketch I used

The Websters Pages Sprinkled With Love I used were such a great fit for this type of layout and I did lots of fussy cutting to use the words and images as embellishments. I even fussy cut the title of the collection and added to my page.

I had some of the Pink Paislee alphas left over from last months kit, I just love the tiny geo tag stickers with pictures on and there are lots of them on the sheet along with the letters. The tiny Petaloo flowers added a pretty touch here and there.

I also used this sticker sheet from the Recorded collection by Websters Pages, the collections all coordinate so well. I hope you enjoyed your time with me today and I hope you have a Happy Scrappy weekend.

Up up & Away

I was so excited to be asked to be a guest designer over at Scrap Africa, I was asked to make 2 cards with a Masculine and a Feminine theme. I was in the middle of coating some balloons with book paper and decided to make these into fun birth announcements (sort of an elaborate card!)

I just love how they turned out!

After covering the baloons with book paper I gave a quick coat of gesso and then added strips of pattered paper. These take ages to dry properly and I left them dangling from the washing line for the day

I created some rolled roses for the sides and this also doubled to cover the strings that attach to the base of the balloon.

The bases are stacked corrugated cardboard that I glued together and then covered with paper and added a border punched edge (another way to cover up any raw edges)
A few more of the rolled roses and a couple of store bought butterflies finished it off.

For the "Crowns" I cut a cupcake wrapper on my cameo and glued it to the top, I then added a spray of wired stars/hearts that look like they are bursting from the top of the balloon.

I made a layered centrepiece for the front and was thinking that these could be personalised too! (ote to self must cover more balloons lol)

I had real fun making these and am definately going to be making more!

Thank you for looking

Sprinkled with Love

Here is the post I have up on the Papermaze blog today.

Hi Tracee with you today. Hope you all had a great weekend filled with crafting delights, this weekend I got to play with the Sprinkled With Love collection by Alison Kreft for Websters Pages.

These papers were a real delight to work with and I created my page in record time (for me anyway!)
The beautiful Ombre effect on the Follow your Heart sheet made the perfect background for my layout and I simply layered some of the Dear Diary & Love Notes pieces onto the background and it was almost done.

Also Included in my package of goodies this month were some Zva Creative bling swirls and some tiny Petaloo flowers. The cork arrows are by Studio Calico and are from my stash.

The supplies for this layout and all of your scrapping needs can be found in the shop HERE

Bo Bunny Mix and Match Cards

Oh Happy Day by Tracee Provis

Whatever the occasion you can always rely on Bo Bunny to have a collection or two to fit the bill. In this post I have mixed up the collections and as you can see they all still match perfectly resulting in some cute cards.

Sometimes I like to create a card that can be used for a number of occasions, Oh Happy Day could mean a new baby, a birthday or simply a card to brighten someones day.
I have mixed papers and embellishments from the Baby Bump, Pincushion & Happy Tails collections to complete my card.

I added a couple of layers to the Pincushion Sew Fun paper from the collection and a little machine stitching completed the look it was that simple!
I cut the title from Happy Tails License paper for a good strong title to sit on all the different patterns in the background.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper; Baby Bump, Miracle, Bundle/Baby Bump; License/Happy Tails; Measurements, Sew Fun/Pincushion
Cardstock; Shadow Vintage Dot
Chipboard; 12 x 12 Pincushion

Happy Birthday 2U by Tracee Provis

I wanted to make my second card using the same Green, Orange and Black palette that I used on the Oh Happy Day card. I drew out more of the Blacks which gives it a more fresh funky look.

I love that Bo Bunny has many elements in their papers that are just perfect for fussy cutting. Here I cut the camera from the Modern Miss paper and popped it up on foam dots to create a 3d embellishment. I anchored the chipboard balloons to a button from the Happy Tails collection along with some twine. I splattered a little mist around to give it an extra dimension.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
