Pocket Letter with Bo Bunny

I got caught by the Pocket Letter bug, which is basically a 9 section plastic page protector that is used for ATC/Business Cards, you then decorate each pocket with patterned papers and add in some small embellishment goodies that your partner can use in their projects. I usually place my treats at the back of the pockets. You also add a letter to one of the pockets telling your recipient a bit about yourself.
I joined a swap group and this is for one of my partners (won't say which one in case they peek at my blog before it arrives)

For this Pocket letter I used the Penny Emporium Collection to give it a vintage look.
I created some epoxy stickers using scraps of paper and clear adhesive epoxy domes. One of the tricks with these Pocket Letters are to keep the decoration fairly flat that way they can be mailed in a regular envelope, therefore keeping the costs down.

This is one of the epoxy stickers I created. I punched a 1" circle of patterned paper, added a sticker from the Combo Sticker Sheet and then placed my dome over the top and pressed down hard to get rid of any air bubbles, add a little adhesive to back and "voila" your own unique epoxy sticker.

I had in my stash some older Trinkets from the Autumn Song Collection, I didn't want the image that was inside the metal frame so I altered it by placing some scrap paper cut to size and an image that I fussy cut both from the Penny Emporium line again.
Another of my homemade epoxy dome stickers, this time I stamped an image onto my cardstock before placing the dome over the top.

Finally I used one of the large Doily's to wrap around the folded letter, I made a belly band to slip around to hold the doily in place and finished it off with a tag and some bakers twine.
These letters are great fun to make and even more fun to receive, I'm looking forward to making a few more and joining a few more swaps.

CSI case file 171 - Solved

This has to be my favourite palette of the year so far, pinks and golds, I had a field day using all my new "gold bits" that I purchased whilst on my visit with Debbi. This month we also get the added bonus of using some cut files by Ashley Horton of The Cut Shoppe

Testimony
My layout is another of Debbi and Tracee's adventures and this is series 2!
We went to Michaels and they have a wide range of wooden letters/words, we tried to get pictures with the Me and You words but still now I cant remember the plan we had in mind lol My journaling is on a tag that I placed into a gold foiled envelope under my photo.
It reads "You and Me, Me and You. We had a brilliant idea when taking these photo's..... now if only we could remember what it was!

I started by using the This Way background cut file from the Cut Shoppe, I altered it slightly as I wanted it more of a rectangle than a square shape. I layered patterned paper behind it and then cut some more different colours and patterns and filled holes up randomly around the page.

I also created an interactive element to my page in the form of this little slider window. Pull the banner on the left and the camera moves along to reveal the word hilarious, which pretty much sums these pictures up!

Hope you find time to play along at CSI this week and don't forget we have prizes each month from a great variety of sponsers.

My first post for 2Crafty Chipboard DT

I am up with my first post on the 2Crafty Chipboard blog

Hi I am so happy to be with you today sharing my first 2Crafty Design Team projects with you. I am so happy to be a part of this wonderfully creative team. I have had such fun painting, inking and embossing the chipboard pieces.

My first page is quite plain and simple and I simply let the chipboard pieces do the talking.
I chose the title This Is Me and used it as the main focus of my page. I first gave the whole title a layer of Gesso, I wanted to cover the "Me" part of the title with patterned paper so I simply traced round the part I wanted to cover, cut it out and glued it over the word. For a little more contrast I inked the edges with black ink.

I love to fussy cut my photo's and I found the perfect seat for me in the form of the Mushrooms set.
I first painted the spots on the mushroom with white paint then embossed over these so that the red paint wouldn't bleed onto my dots. After I had painted them I embossed again over the whole piece to give it a nice shiny look.

The Hello circle from Word Circles set 1 was given the same paint treatment and I layered over a word sticker in red to add in a pop of the colour to match my mushrooms. I embossed the tiny butterflies from the ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars set with gold embossing powder and sprinkled them around the page. From the same set I also added a small painted red heart to my title.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard pieces on my page.

This is the Good Life by Tracee Provis

This is the Good Life Tracee Provis for 2crafty july 01

With these being my first layouts for 2 crafty I wanted to show you a couple of things about me and a huge part of my life are my dogs, we love to take them on a holiday to the beach each year and this photograph was taken on our last trip.

The phrase title This is the Good Life was perfect to explain what the photo means to me, as I had a lot of space on the left side of my pic I placed the title there. It was layered over the Handrawn Heart Frame set that I painted with a coat of gesso.

I embossed with gold embossing powder the Corner Jacqui's Flourish and tucked these into either side of my main cluster, I added some small metal dots to parts of the flourish as an accent. When layering up the heart frames I wanted them to interlock so I carefully cut one part of the smaller one and after looping it through the bigger one I glued it back together so that they both look unbroken.

After placing my main cluster in a position I was happy with I thought it needed a little something more, I cut in half one of the Film Strips Tiny and leaving them raw placed them at either sides of my page. A few little embossed stars from the ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars set completed the layout.
I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard pieces on my page.
