Vanilla Sugar Feb 1st reveal

Hanging Hearts
Hanging Heart decoration
All you need are a few scraps of felt, fabric, thread and various embellishments
As I have decided to have a "homemade christmas" this year I opted to go with some felt heart ornaments. I got rather carried away and just couldn't stop making them as they are so easy and you can vary them so much

I cut out of card a couple of heart templates then cut 2 hearts for each of them out of felt. added various embellishments beads, buttons, small pieces of fabric etc and then either blanket or straight stitched around them leaving a small gap for stuffing if you want. Most of them I stuffed but a couple I just left flat. Added ribbon to hang and voila.
These really are so easy to make and you don't just have to stick to a christmas theme
I made these 2 to pop in with a birthday card
I didn't have a set pattern for any but just went with the flow and these are the result. Hope you will come on over to the Vanilla Sugar blog and play along with us this month.

Few layouts I've not shared before

A few layouts I found lurking on my hard drive thought I would share
Did this as a class on UKS cybercrop weekend using lots of ribbons.Unbeleivable to think that "Little Miss Sunshine" is now 22!!

And here she is all "growed up" another UKS cybercrop class

Joined in a round of Scrap Whispers which was great fun, it's a bit like chinese whispers but with a scrap page.Used Basic Grey Ambrosia pp on this one
Still have a few more lurking but will share those another time

Say What?

Made this layout for the sketch challenge at Sarah's cards blog.
Even though I'm not going to make a scrapbook for Josh for his 21st (don't think he would really want one to keep) I am planning to make one that I will just keep here for myself so this is the first of the 21 layouts I plan to make to go in it

I used some of the rather yummy crate paper orbit range, those little monsters are so sweet. And just for the record I didn't actaully dress him that day!!!

This is the second time I have scrapped this pic of Poppy it's one of my faves of her
In my quest to use some of the stash I have owned for a while I used Basic Grey Boxer range and white foam thickers, dragged the machine out and zig zag stitched around the edge of the pp
