Altered Hoop

Just sharing my latest blog post that went up on the Papermaze blog on Friday.

Hi Tracee with you today to share another project that I created with the MME Jubilee collection papers. You can see my first project here

I took a small embroidery hoop and placed some fabric inside (it was a scrap that came from an old skirt). I used mists and some white ink on the chipboard fern, I then coated it with a layer of clear embossing powder to give it a little shine.

I simply layered up the papers and used one of the flair badges as a main focus for the piece. The flair badges are a little larger than the ones I have used in the past and this makes for a great focal point for your projects.

I hope you enjoyed my projects with these gorgeous papers. Don't forget to pop over to the shop where you can find all you need for your crafty projects.

A Happy hello with Papermaze

I am up on the Papermaze blog today
Hi Tracee with you today to share a layout I created using the My Minds Eye Jubilee collection.
My MInds Eye always have a few different colour schemes in each of their collections and this is the gorgeous Sherbet and you can find this along with the other colourways here.

I chose a white background and gently dry brushed some purple paint on it, I chose to keep it plain and simple to show off the delicate colours this range consists of. I added a few simple embellishments to it to finish it off.

I used the negative shape of the deer I cut out to create a simple birthday card
Nothing gets wasted in my scraproom!

Happy Monday and don't forget to pop over to the Papermaze shop to find all the supplies you need for your projects

Mixing it up with Bo Bunny

I just love mixing up Bo Bunny collections for this layout I used bits and pieces from 6 different collections

like father like son scrapbook page tracee provis bo bunny wild card souvenir 01

I don't really do the Project Life that is popular right now but I do love the grid effect that it has to it.
I created a grid effect on my background using the Stitches stamp set, I also used the Borcade stencil and added some polka dots by gently sponging Blueberry ink over it. I then cut some of the papers into 3 x 4 pieces and added embellishments to them.

From the Zoom paper in the Wildcard collection I cut the 3 x 4 piece with the scallop top and then I fussy cut the car and attached it to the bottom a mixture of alphas from the Somewhere In Time collection and the new Star Crossed collection made up the first part of my title.

I added a tag from the Christmas Collage collection for my journaling and a chipboard arrow from the Wildcard collection to the bottom right 3 x 4 piece, the arrow already looked slightly distressed but I wanted a little dark grunge feel to it and simply smudged on some of the Bo Bunny black ink to create the look. I finished off by splattering some Bronze and Frost mist and stamping one of the triangles from the To The Point stamp set.

My Husband and dear Father in Law are the Kings of funny faces and even tho these pictures were taken 2 years apart you can see the resemblance! Gotta love them.......

Mixed Media Place Exercise Gym, exercise 1

I really enjoyed last months challenge over at the Mixed Media Place and so here I am playing along again with this months challenge
I am looking forward to getting "fit" with these challenges

Black White Grey and one other colour was the criteria, I wanted a happy colour to represent how I feel when reading and so I went with Yellow

This is what I came up with

Wisdom Scrapbook Page Tracee Provis Mixed Media Place creative gym exercise 1

Whilst browsing the web I have been looking at the Gelli printing plates and thinking what fun they look, I wanted to try the mono printing idea out and I found an old silicone rubber mat that is used in the kitchen, this is what I used to create the polka dot background to my page.

One side is smooth and the other is slightly grained I smeared black acrylic paint onto the grained side of the mat with my brayer and then layed the polka stencil over it. I took off the stencil and placed my paper on top and smoothed it out, when I peeled it off I had a really cool looking background (not quite Gelli plate but very interesting looking)

I continued stamping and I found most of the items on the page just laying around on my desk, the paper coaster was holding my cup of tea but I peeled off some layers and added yellow paint to it and placed it behind my photo. I used more of the yellow acrylic paint and another floral stencil to the edges to complete my page.

I really enjoyed this challenge once again can't wait for next month!
