2 for 1

Using this colour combo from colour combos galore

and this sketch from Twisted Sketches with a twist to use stripes

I came up with this LO
Used BG Scarletts letter pp and BG stamps a Papermania vinyl butterfly and some silk raffia with a touch of bling. It took me ages to try and get the raffia to sit just how I wanted it too, it still didn't so this is how I left it and am overall quite pleased with it, just gotta love those birdcages!!

slow mojo

Think my mojo is on a go slow, it isn't assisted by the ton of stress that is going on in my life right now
I did manage to complete this LO for Scrapping the Music the song was "I could not ask for more" by Sarah Evans. It wasn't a song I was familiar with but it really is a beautiful song and quite inspiring
Here is the LO I created
Used BG june bug pp which is yummy the frame was lying on my desk and is MME cest la vie and I just love the little dice beads

A few cards

As my scrapping Mojo has been in short supply lately I have been making a few cards cos I just have to be doing something LOL
Baby boy card using the same SU image as the last baby boy card I made. The little baby vest was cut using my slice but it didn't quite meet up on the lefthand edge so I disguised it with a ribbon lol

A get well card for my friends Mum. Everytime I do a LO this year I am going to try to use up some of the scraps on a card so these are the Dream Street papers I used on my pussycat LO

and finally a Valentine card for my daughter to give her BF
I have seen lots of easel cards around and decided to give it a go
Used imaginese snag em stamp and scraps of pp from my scraps box

and the bottom for message

hope I didn't bore you too much

Family Time

This was a LO based on a sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays
A nice simple sketch which was perfect for my lack of brain power this weekend
Here is the sketch

and here is my take

I used some cosmic shimmer mist - ancient copper but I'm rubbish at using it think i need to head over to you tube to find some tutorials on it. The pp is from Daisy Dee's fancy snaps from WRMK and the stamps are Love Elsie

Vanilla Sugar Feb 1st reveal

Hanging Hearts
Hanging Heart decoration
All you need are a few scraps of felt, fabric, thread and various embellishments
As I have decided to have a "homemade christmas" this year I opted to go with some felt heart ornaments. I got rather carried away and just couldn't stop making them as they are so easy and you can vary them so much

I cut out of card a couple of heart templates then cut 2 hearts for each of them out of felt. added various embellishments beads, buttons, small pieces of fabric etc and then either blanket or straight stitched around them leaving a small gap for stuffing if you want. Most of them I stuffed but a couple I just left flat. Added ribbon to hang and voila.
These really are so easy to make and you don't just have to stick to a christmas theme
I made these 2 to pop in with a birthday card
I didn't have a set pattern for any but just went with the flow and these are the result. Hope you will come on over to the Vanilla Sugar blog and play along with us this month.
