Adorkable - Stuck Sketches August 15th sketch

This month I have been playing over at Stuck Sketches, there are 2 great sketches each month and for August I created pages for both of them.

Both my pages are for my album "Debbi & Tracee's Great Adventure album. This page is us being daft in Michaels and using their wood items as photo props! This is a favourite game for us and it creates some great photos to scrap!

My second page for the August 15th sketch

This was the sketch, quite unusual with the elements running diagonally across the page, I flipped it vertically and moved my title down to the bottom as I really wanted to fit the Chipboard "Adorkable" onto my page which is 8 x 8.

I couldn't resist fussy cutting the little dog from a Bella Boulevard paper, I added a glasses shaped brad and I think he looks very cute! As the pack of heidi Swapp speech bubble puffy stickers was astill on my desk from last time I used the "smile" one on this page.

I used a swiss dot cardstock to cut my circle element running down the centre of the page to give it a little texture. I cut the moutaches in the same cardstock but backed them with some white cardstock to make them stand out a little better.

Hope you have a happy scrappy day

Stuck Sketches August 1st Sketch

This month I have been playing over at Stuck Sketches, there are 2 great sketches each month and for August I created pages for both of them.

Both my pages are for my album "Debbi & Tracee's Great Adventure album. On the journey to Debbi's house from the airport we always stop at Chick-Fil-A, or Chicken Licken as I affectionately call it.  A delicious peach milkshake on the menu this time.....yummy!

This is my take on the sketch for August 1st

I created a cluster of elements on some Simple stories chipboard frames using puffy stickers and cardstock stickers. The love it puffy sticker is an older one from Heidi Swapp as are the gold arrows. I love to mix old with new and the cardstock stickers are from a Photo Play collection called Fun with Friends, perfect for my page.

Hope you have a happy scrappy day

Pinkfresh Studio and Papermaze

I am up on the Papermaze blog with this post

Hi Tracee with you today, hope everyone is enjoying some nice bank holiday crafting time!

I was looking around for inspiration this month and joined in a Scraplift challenge (the page I scraplifted is at the bottom of the post) over at a US site called Paper Issues. I used one of the new Pinkfresh collections called Dream On.

You & Me

The colours for my page were inspired by the blue and oranges that are in the Puffy Sticker pack and I stuck mainly to these colours, bringing out my distress inks for a mixed media background.

For my background I used the Delight sheet from the collection. Along with the puffy stickers I used lots of bits and pieces that have been sent to me in my DT kit over the past few months, I gather them up and put them in a little box and each time I make a page I have a sift through to see if there is anything I can use.

I used some cut files again on my page and I used the Tim Holtz distress inks on them to create an ombre effect. I added some texture paste through a stencil to my background also. Instead of using lots of patterned paper behind my photo I tore strips of washi tape and layered them over one another.

This is the gorgeous page by Rachael Lowe I chose to scraplift

Paper Issues Take 5 Challenge

I was looking around for some scrappy inspiration I came across the challenges at Paper Issues. There are lots of different ones to  along with and this is the first of 3 that I played along with for August, I will share the others over the next few days.

Magical Memories

As well as some fun challenges they have a ton of free Silhouette files for you to download, I used 3 of them on my page. I was inspired by the Magic Unicorn file even tho I didn't actually use that particular one on my page.

I recently visited my Bestest Scrappy friend Debbi in the USA and we had the most magical time, we took lots of photo's for us both to scrap. We use the same pictures same challenge and the results are always very different, you can see Debbi's take on the challenge here. I used the 2017 Happy New Year file to frame my photo, I added a Photo Play patterned paper behind the numbers. I used the Scallop Background file in strips behind my frame title to this I added washi tape and gold and pink splatters.

Last time I was at Debbi's I bought these really cute Unicorn puffy stickers, I couldn't resist using them. The star wand sticker is a very old one by Echo Park. For the life of me I cannot recall where the Love sticker is from but it added a little something something to my page.
I will be back soon to share more of the challenges I completed this month

Girls just wanna have fun

My blogpost for the Papermaze blog

girls wanna have fun tracee provis scrapbook layout paprmaze simple stories

Hi, Tracee with you today to share another layout I created with the Simple Stories Sunshine & Happiness collection. I usually end up with lots of scraps from my pages and the pieces aren't usually big enough to keep and yet to large to throw away, so by using a die cut background piece I was able to utilise some of those scraps

I roughly cut around the flowers individually then adhered the scrap pieces to the back in a random style. I added enamel dots to the centre of each flower, this time I matched the dots to the flower. I have a huge stash of enamel dots, I seem to have become addicted and instead of hoarding them like I usually do, I used quite a few on my page, there is a good supply of them in the shop and you can find them here . I also added word stickers called "Little Bits" by Bella Boulevard and these also come in a great range of colours.

Instead of a alpha title I used one of the cut aparts that is found in the 6 x 6 pad, I layered it and then added a couple of staples for interest. The girls that are found throughout the collection make a great little embellishment. I hope your summer is a fun one!
