My first She Art canvas

I have been curious about "she art" for a while and when I first saw it I didnt really get it as such. My friend gave it a try on paper and I mentioned that I had a canvas notepad and she could have some of the sheets to try it on the canvas. I got home & I googled it and looked at all the images and thought I'm going to give it a try, hence my title "She wanted to try"
It was fun getting all messy and making a mistake and just painting over it, it took me quite a long time to complete and I was very impatient waiting for bits to dry etc. Overall I enjoyed the experiment and would definately do some more in the future
I dont know if I have done it "right" but I am very pleased with it
Without further ado here she is!
I would appreciate your comments letting me know where I can improve etc (well fact is I just love comments in general lol)

Please create a layout that has:

-2 pictures - check
-3 or more metal embellishments - badge, paperclip, butterfly, key charm, tab, pin

-a flag or pennant - used the smile ribbon as my flag
-something shiny for the reflectors - bling on the butterfly
-And an image of a bike somewhere on your page. - one in the photo & one on the badge

The good old bubble wrap stamped background
The papers are american crafts & scenic route

the butterfly & key are from my stash
and the tab at the top is by 7 gypsies

When I was working on this layout I had the very sad news that my Granddad had passed away and I almost didnt carry on with it, but with gentle encouragement from my great aussie cyber friends on Skype I managed to complete it

Rest In Peace my Dear Sweet Granddad & give Nan a big hug from me. . .XXX

CCG 190

Played along at CCG this week
using papers from my Studio Calico kit (april)
Thickers, carolee's tiny alpha stickers .and basic gray buttons. I hand stitched around the pp and across the border (wish I'd brought my sewing machine lol). I flicked some white paint around the background to give it a bit of a grunge and added some butterflies to soften it
