CSI case file 68 - Solved

A delightful case this week, love the inspiration pic!
Here is how I solved the case
For my Evidence

Circles
Polka Dots
Scallops
Stitching
Paint
Pen work
Triangles

For my Testimony
Add scallops to your journaling spot
Write a poem

My girls get up to all sorts of silly antics when they are together and I wrote a little poem about one of them it goes like this

We saw a video on you tube
And thought we can do that
Crush a can with our boob

A little padding was required by one
But with brasiers stuffed we could get the job done
With a giggle, a snort and a cheeky grin
We aimed our boobs right at the tin

Crash Bang POW, just like that
The can was crushed
Holy Cow!!
It was flat

We held up our cans and waved them like sticks
Another one for our bag of party tricks

And so that is how
We did discover
We are in fact
Boob Can Crushers

A couple more close ups

I cut lots of bits n pieces on my cameo, I'm beginning to wonder how I coped without one lol
I did some stamping and cut them into little flags
I love adding a layer of vellum to lift the papers

I had so much fun with this weeks case file
Hope you enjoy looking

Birdhouse Card

Just a quick share of a birthday card I made for my Mum
She always likes me to make her something different and I havn't made a birdhouse yet so there it was LOL
And here it is
just another view of it stood up

I used some really really old papers by Adorn it and some sparkly ribbon and gems that have also been in my stash for ages.
The birdhouse and the butterfly were cut on the cameo, and the scallop egde is an
ek success punch
finally I added some paper roses and a dangly heart that I found in my bits box
I think she will like it, I shall soon find out as I'm off up to celebrate with her in a few

CSI case file 67 - solved

I have been having a hard time getting back into the groove of scrapping since I got back from vacation
I am totally unorganised and everything is piling up! but ....
I really wanted to do a page so I headed on over to CSI to see the latest case file that was just perfect for one of my vacation pics.
This was the case file
This week was also sketch week so it made it so much easier to have an extra prompt to follow
This is the layout I came up with
I hope I got a better photo of this one than I have in previous posts. Been really struggling recently to get a good shot, so I had a quick look around the web and found a few tips from here and there, I think it's high time for me to use some of the features on my camera at long last!
Any ways back to the layout
My Evidence
Sun - I used a cut file on my cameo
accents from the picture - Stars, on the brad and stamped
use pen pencil - I used a fine marker to outline some of the edges
fussy cutting - I used the coordinates and cut the chevrons into arrow shapes and then feathered the edges
outline elements with pen
use plain cardstock - white cardstock background
Sketch - used
My Testimony
Document something funny
Our vacation was dry but very cold, but that didn't stop us spending a day at the beach, so while Star wasn't in beachwear that didn't stop her from paddling in the sea in her hat, boots and tights!
A couple of close ups

I used some acryllic paint slightly watered down for some paint splashe and I added some clear seed beads for more splashy bits, a bit of texture paste behind the pics (please ignore my wonky stitching on the arrow lol)
I printed my journaling onto white cardstock and then framed it with one of the journaling spots from the coordinates
I had real fun solving this case but now of course I have even more mess to clean up!!
Hi ho hi ho it's off to clean I go

Papermaze sketch

Hi , I hope everyone had a great Easter, we spent Easter down by the seaside in Brixham, the whole family complete chaos (that nice chaos tho)
Got to play with some great goodies by Crate Paper this month, from the Party Day range and chose a sketch from Page Drafts to work with
Whilst these papers are Birthday themed there is enough neutral patterns to create a layout with any theme you like
My little Granddaughter got new glasses last year and I realised that I haven't scrapped about that yet so I chose a picture of her wearing them, before she had even got on the bus to go home
I used the reverse side of this sheet for my background
My photo mat was cut from this sheet along with the banners
one really great thing about this sheet is the reverse side matches, so if you cut a tag, for instance, from one side it will be a tag of a different colour on the reverse. Hope that makes sense
Crate also brought out some 12 by 12 washi paper that you can cut into strips which I used behind my photo and also to cover one of my chipboard speech bubbles with, it's fab that you get lots of different patterns and don't have a whole reel of just one that you can sometimes be left wondering what to do with it.

Here is the sketch I used, if you want to play along we would love to see what you create. Leave a link in the comments box and we will check it out
