Here is how I solved the fab case file for 73
Loved it so much I got on with it right away and finished in record time for me lol Love how some layouts just come together real quickly

I had such a blast with this one and took great inspiration from the DT both from this case file and previous ones - especially Rikka who creates such wonderful pages & does the most fabulous background work. If you're not already familiar with her work go check out her blog HERE
I got very messy with ink paint and stamps for this one
Evidence
Circles
swirls - I used tangled sewing thread
tone on tone pattern
something upside down - the owl is hanging upside down from the "record" journaling spot
birds
Testimony
I wrote my journaling directly on the page (amazed myself using my own handwriting for a change lol) in the form of directions
"Start at your favourite place along with your brand new bicycle. Be sure to be wearing the bestest jumper your have ever owned in your life. Pause for a mo for the camera. THEN. . . .Ride Like The Wind . . .Without a care in the world!
A few close ups
These vinyl thickers were so old that they had lost all their stickiness so I applied some glossy accents just to the centre as I like the way they were curling at the edges slightly
I cut the "go green" sign from the inspiration picture as it was just so cute.
The arrow is an old SEI paper and the blue and white is from one of my notepads.
Love the arrow wood veneer by pink paislee from the Nantucket collection.
I didn't use a flag but was inspired to make this little kite that I tied to the front lamp of my picture. The love this speech bubble was cut on my cameo and the background paper is a shade or 2 darker than the palette and is by echo park from the dots and stripes range
I cut out my photo to get rid of the distracting background and as it was a really old scanned photo the colours were all off
This is a picture of me at about 11 years old. I remember this so well, I had just gotten a new bike and I was at my Nan & Granddad's house, they lived in a quiet rural area that I could explore to my hearts content. My jumper was hand knitted but was made of the softest wool with a hood and little pom poms on the end of the ties, I wore it for as long as I could and I have never owned one that I loved quite so much as that one. I loved the case file this week and when I found this picture of me it brought back such happy carefree memories of this part of my childhood
Hope you enjoy this weeks palette as much as I did!
