Santas Village

I have been wanting to share these for ages, they are up on the Bo Bunny blog today so finally I can
Santa's Village by Tracee Provis

What better way to decorate for Christmas than something you have created yourself. I love to create scenes and was really excited to see the cute elements that adorn the Elf Magic collection. I recycled some old tuna fish cans that made great bases for my ornaments, and finished them off with some paper bows and ribbon.

To start I sprayed my tin with some white auto paint, glittered one of the small doilies and cut out the middle to make a pretty edge for my tins. I fussy cut lots of different elements from the papers and used hot glue to adhere in the tin. A little tip - I needed to put some hot glue that would show at the front of my elements, to stop it from being a plain old blob I just sprinkled a little glitter on it before it dried and it looks like sparkly snow.

I cut some circles to fit the tin and then adhered most of the elements to it before gluing inside. I used some double dot cardstock to create the Elf factory building, how cute is the little one peeking out from behind the wall?. I cut some tiny bows to stick on the presents and then cut a bigger version that is attached to the top of the tin with the ribbon.

The set wouldn't be complete without the stockings being hung, again I used double dot to create the bed frame and the window behind has acetate to give the impression of Santa's sleigh flying through the sky.
