My best friends son recently had a baby and so I thought i would create a page for her. I used only a small amount of patterned paper and a mixed media background to allow my chipboard pieces to be the main focus of my page, apart from the photo of course.
But before we get started
For my title chippie I simply inked it directly onto the raw chipboard, this allows the chipboard to absorb the ink slightly and gives a deep colour to it. I used "Triangles" to create some movement to my page and I covered these with patterned paper.
I used the words Father & Son from the "Family" word pack, I gave them the same coating of ink as I did on the "Life Is Wonderful" title. I then adhered them to a triangle and I cut some small pieces of the "Fine Heart Border" strips to underline these.

The Mother Of All Selfies
On my last visit with Debbi we were determined to get plenty of photos to scrap, so we went on a bit of a selfie spree. Some worked, some failed and then you had some that just made you cry with laughter. Because I had just used the "Family Word Pack" on my last layout it gave me the idea to use the Mother word in my title on this page.
I wanted to add a bit of sparkle to my page and so I took out my embossing powders, I used 3 different gold embossing powders for the "Deer Head" and Selfie word, that comes from the "Selfie Word Pack". On the Crwons I just used 2 of the powders to make them gold but not quite as sparkly. I painted the "Dainty Alphabet" letters with acrylic paint and then clear embossed over them.
I used the same paint and emboss treatment on the camera from the "Mini Cameras Set", to finish it off I added a small clear enamel dot. I did some handwritten journaling on the journaling card but why is it we never like our own handwriting?
