A few more LO

Here are a couple more of Lo I have made while on holiday I have used some of the pp twice as my selection was limited to space
First one is Leon and Star with Leon wearing the card tie that Star made him at school for fathers day
I made the (quite large!) flowers by scrunching and inking circles and holding them together with AC brads

This one is Star, she was showing us her dance that she was doing in the school nativity, when we turned round she had put these sunglasses on and was giving us "The Pose" lol
Finally this one of Leon and Rodney acting the fools, it was taken here at Challaborough last October and just captures their bond perfectly. I just love the little owls on this 3 bugs pp

another scrap lift

This was the first one I chose to lift
Here is my take

It's picture you will never forget as is the one of Rodney the first time he was by the sea, plus I loved the way even though the title is large it is still the photo you focus on

The shells are ones that I picked up from the beach and the netting is from my Brother in laws wedding( I tea stained it)I also sewed on lots of sequins to look like water drops

Had a great day at Shepton Mallett

Have been to the craft show there for the past few years but this year I thought was the best one so far
There seemed to be lots more scrappy stuff (tho not tons) I managed to spend almost all of my money lol
I will have to share pics another time as we are now in our little Challaborough Bay haven and i have been a big turnip and forgotten the camera lead (hopefully the in laws will be able to bring it down on tues when they visit)
The weather was nice and sunny so we all got to enjoy our picnic outside. I managed to snag this pic from Stevie's facebook but lord knows what I was doing lol
am having a bad stomach day today it would seem, must go see the doc when I get home as its getting more frequent

Been busy busy busy

Unfortunately not crafting!!
been clearing out the log cabin in the garden in preperation for my "baby boy"(he's almost 21 lol) who will be coming home for a few months before going to uni.
I never realised just how much trash there was in there or indeed how the heck it all fitted in!
I experienced the pleasures of freecycle and lord some people are cheeky, I listed some cross stitch items at 7.51pm and by 8.25pm they were gone from the house! anther person who came was obviously going to sell the stuff! Still at least it wasn't going to the tip which was my whole aim.
We are going on holiday on friday/saturday so I need to get my bag all sorted so i can spend the week walking the dogs and scrapping ahhhhhhhhhhh bliss x

So much for tidying up the craft room

I don't quite know how it happened but I went upstairs to tidy the craft room and ended up making 3 cards LOL
Most of the bit used were scraps that I didn't quite know wether to throw away or not
anyways here they are I went for a red white and blue theme
I am loving the frayed edge yo yo type flowers at the mo. I used SU sentiment stamps and not quite navy ink
Simple but cute I thought

woo hoo I actually did some scrapping

My scrapping has sort of  taken a back seat for a few weeks, what with the youngest moving back home and I have been working on other projects
I found a new place to "hang out" called Scrap Attack Scrapbooking they have a ton of different challenges to take part in and it all great fun
There is a scrap around the world challenge and I have completed 2 of the destinations so far
1. Germany (which was an ad challenge)
I used Jenny Bowlin -Blush pp and the hearts are from an old corner punch that I almost threw out cos the "corner" piece is missing!
I did google "beautiful you" and this is the translation it gave so I am hoping that it is right lol If anyone knows any different please let me know (and I can only hope it's nothing to daft LOL)
The second destination was Ireland and you were given a choice of Irish proverbs to use on your LO and I chose
Every Terrier is bold in the doorway of his own house
Peggy provided the perfect pic sort of looking fierce . . . .hmmm
 when she was a puppy

I saw this paper folding technique somewhere a while ago and thought I would give it a try. I am quite pleased with the result and it makes a sort of doorway effect for the proverb. these were some MME and SEI papers that I have had for ages and i love the remarks alpha I just wish it was cardstock not sticker weight but I think they look ok here

Spring Birdhouse

I had so much fun making this project for this months challenge over at Vanilla Sugar
I used a template for the birdhouse that I found on this very talented lady's blog. The roof was embossed with forest branches cuttlebug folder, all the pp is making memories. I inked all the edges of the roof and glued it on. I punched a small hole in the under section of the house and poked a wooden skewer up as far as it would go and fixed into place with a wooden bead that I had threaded onto the skewer. I then decorated the house using various bits and bobs including SU twine buttons and made a small bunch of flowers with a tiny flower punch that I've got, the foliage was punched with my Mc Gill pine branch punch

I had a small block of wood, that already had a hole punched in it, that was some packaging from a kaisercraft clock. I used silicone glue to hold the skewer in place. The little bird stamps are from BG, fence is cut from kraft paper and washed using white ink and an elison die and more tiny flowers and foliage. The mailbox I made using the SU word window punch and that is "real" newspaper inside it. 9 is the number of my house and also my lucky number so that had to go on

It was originally going to be a birthday gift for my Mum but I loved it so much it will sit on a shelf in my new craft room now LOL

Hope you enjoy looking
