Spring Birdhouse

I had so much fun making this project for this months challenge over at Vanilla Sugar
I used a template for the birdhouse that I found on this very talented lady's blog. The roof was embossed with forest branches cuttlebug folder, all the pp is making memories. I inked all the edges of the roof and glued it on. I punched a small hole in the under section of the house and poked a wooden skewer up as far as it would go and fixed into place with a wooden bead that I had threaded onto the skewer. I then decorated the house using various bits and bobs including SU twine buttons and made a small bunch of flowers with a tiny flower punch that I've got, the foliage was punched with my Mc Gill pine branch punch

I had a small block of wood, that already had a hole punched in it, that was some packaging from a kaisercraft clock. I used silicone glue to hold the skewer in place. The little bird stamps are from BG, fence is cut from kraft paper and washed using white ink and an elison die and more tiny flowers and foliage. The mailbox I made using the SU word window punch and that is "real" newspaper inside it. 9 is the number of my house and also my lucky number so that had to go on

It was originally going to be a birthday gift for my Mum but I loved it so much it will sit on a shelf in my new craft room now LOL

Hope you enjoy looking
