XOXO june scraplift challenge

Me and Fi decided to have a bit of fun and both scraplift the same LO. After much hooing and haaing we put the "contenders" into a dish and I picked one out under close scrutiny via Skype by Madam Fi. Well of course the first one we pulled we both groaned at and made a joint decision that the first pick was a just a test! anyway so were the 2nd and 3rd picks LOL so I put the remaining 2 in my hand and then Fi picked left or right which turned out to be fair to both of us as it wasnt either of our usual styles so we got to work and lifted Michelle's LO
This was mine
and if you pop across to Fi's blog you can see hers HERE
As usual we had a ton of fun with some added cursing and Nana naps in between!
How cute is Leon in this pic taken of him at Bristol Zoo when he was 4!
I have used Echo Park for the record PP using up some of the little scraps I have created from previous layouts. The red  gingham paper is Lilly Bee design that was in my scrapbook nook kit this time.
The other evening I went to play at Evi's and we made a ton of tiny shrinkies (and a whole heap of twisted plastic too!)
This is one of them that I made by stamping on the shrink plastic and cutting out before I shrunk it
There are 3 more on the page see if you can spot them!
Wow a mammoth post for me

Going around in Circles

Did you know that 6 circles of any size when put together will make a complete circle with no gap in it? So you can guess where this is leading - the date for the challenge is 6/6 so
we're going to use six punched out circles, buttons or brads and use it on the page in a circle.
Easy almost too easy so lets add something else in six, flowers, butterflies, bugs or anything that works for your page and 6 patterned papers.
So that's :
6 circles made into a circle
6 similar embellishments
6 patterned papers.

here is my layout
Used daisy Bucket papers

Validation!

I have just been reading a blog post about "your place in the scrapping world/Validation" and it got me to thinking since I started scrapping have my reasons for creating changed? Yes I would love to be published (actually a little suprise there maybe 'Watch this space,!) Yes I would love to be a name associated with an inspirational scrapper title Yes,I would love to be on some of the big design teams and get to work with lovely product from my fave manufacturers Are these the reasons I scrap NO. I scrap because it takes me into a world where everything is beautiful and none of the humdrum rubbish is included. I scrap beacause some memories are just to precious to allow me and those who follow me to forget. I scrap because this wonderful hobby has led me to make friends , real friends. If some of the other bits happen along my journey then that's a bonus
I scrap beacuase of  THIS
Validation 100%

CCG 196

Really like the colours this week so am quite quick in finishing this one
I have used no patterened paper on this one, lots of fabric instead doesn't really help my paper mountain but I couldn't find the right blue!
I have had to photoshop it a bit as its getting darker here and the light wasn't great
The sky is cosmic shimmer paint will be taking it's place at the back of my paint drawer, it's quite terrible to work with gooey and blobby!
I found a package of jolees seashore stickers so finally used those up
Hope you like it

CCG 195

This weeks colours appealed to me and I thought I would play along (plus Fi told me too and boy is she bossy! lol).
The inspiration was to use an image of a hot air balloon on your page, well I searched and found I didnt have one (well afterwards I discovered that there was one in the Echo Park for the record range! grr). After looking around I found a bag of old peel off stickers, found a sort of bauble one that I thought looked like a hot air ballon and I used it as a mask by sponging ink.the outlining in a black fineliner.
To add some dimension to the page I punched out some borders in white cardstock (I thought they sort of reflected waves)
The flowers are some old K&Co ones I had floating around and a few tiny butterflies and a little bling
where oh where is the sun when you want to take a pic!!

CCG 194#

Got 5 cards to make this week so decided to use the color combo over at CCG for my friends daughter's 21st card as she is not a girly girl but this combo can still be made to look feminine.
For this card I used the Echo Park collection which I love as it's so nice for lots of different projects
Took the pic on my phone so maybe not the best
Hope you like it
