Scrappy Chics April Kit

I love MME and I was so excited to these gorgeous papers in this months kit (for a full list of contents go see HERE)

I love to fussy cut and so I deconstructed the paper created a wood frame and adhered it onto white cardstock, when I cut the detail from the page it left these nice edges that looked like broken wood on the remaining piece. I also cut the mesh bit from the edge of the sweet Maya road trim and used it to tie around my photo. I wanted the mulberry paper roses to have a shabby distressed look so I brushed  paint along the edges. I used a die to cut the banner from the Websters paper and draped it with some pink twine(not in kit)

A close up showing how I attempted to create my own crackle effect on the chipboard scallop piece> as you can see it didn't quite have that effect but I love the end result just the same
Will share more that I made tomorrow

I have seen so many people use this MME paper but none in the way you have. What a great effect! Love the design of the page x
